Data are for the month of June. The system is a Central Bank service in which it is possible to check whether individuals, including deceased persons, and companies have any ‘forgotten money’ in a bank, consortium or other institution. SEE STEP BY STEP TO REDEEM According to the BC, of the total that is still in the system: R$ 5.8 billion are available for almost 37.1 million CPFs; and R$ 1.4 billion for 2.8 million CNPJs. Also according to the institution, around 63.1% of redemptions must be up to R$10. See below: Between R$0 and R$10 – 63.07% Between R$10.01 and R$100 – 24.99% Between BRL 100.01 and BRL 1,000 – 10.18% Above BRL 1,000.01 – 1.77% Number of beneficiaries by amount receivable range: between BRL 0 and BRL 10: 28,655,390 beneficiaries between R$10.01 and R$100: 11,352,859 beneficiaries between R$100.01 and R$1,000: 4,623,573 beneficiaries over R$1,000.01: 802,614 beneficiaries autarchy, the beneficiary with receivables in more than one band is counted more than once. Until the last update available from BC, approximately R$ 4.4 billion have already been returned so far.
