Fluminense discloses information about Marcelo’s presentation at Maracanã; Ticket will cost $12

It’s time to welcome Marcelo with open arms, tricolor fans! Fluminense’s new number 12 shirt already has a date to arrive in Rio de Janeiro and be officially presented as a reinforcement of the Team of Warriors. The club prepared a reception for the star player who is back home after 17 years.

Marcelo will be officially presented at Maracanã, with the presence of the crowd and live broadcast on FluTV. Gates will open at 6:30 pm. The event will feature a special show by Filipe Ret, who will take the stage at 7:30 pm. Following the show and presentation, the number 12 will give a press conference in the stadium’s auditorium.

Fans will be able to guarantee their place in the presentation of the star from 20:00 this Monday (06/03). The event will be free for members, who must check-in at nense.com.br. For non-members, tickets will be sold at BRL 12 (full) and BRL 6 (half), on the site fluminensefc.futebolcard.com. The club will also collect non-perishable food, which must be delivered at the entrance to the stadium and will be donated to a charity institution.

Fluminense members will have two ways of accessing the stadium available: membership card or e-ticket (dynamic QR Code). Non-members will only enter with an e-ticket.

Marcelo signed a contract with Fluminense until December 2024, with an option to renew until the end of 2025. The playmaker is one of the great jewels of the club’s youth teams. In 2005, aged just 17, Moleque de Xerém was promoted to the professional ranks, assuming full ownership of the position the following year. The athlete defended the tricolor armor in 40 matches and scored six goals. For Team de Guerreiros, he won the titles of the Carioca Championship and the 2005 Rio Cup.

In addition to becoming one of the great idols in the history of Real Madrid, a club that he defended for 16 years and won 25 titles – five in the European Champions League, four in the Club World Cup and six in the Spanish Championship –, Marcelo also built career in the Brazilian national team. In all, there were 58 games wearing Amarelinha, with six goals, the 2013 Confederations Cup title and silver medals at the London 2012 Olympic Games and bronze at Beijing 2008.
