Fluminense celebrates Libertadores title with fans in RJ

The Rio team won the title last week
This Sunday (12), Fluminense players and fans gathered on the streets of Rio de Janeiro to celebrate the Libertadores title. The unprecedented achievement in the club’s history, which came thanks to the 2-1 victory over Boca Juniors last Saturday, was celebrated in the city center.
Several tricolors gathered early in the morning at Praça XV to start the celebration, which officially began at 9 am (Brasília time). Athletes and members of the coaching staff joined their families and artists to parade in an electric trio.
Germán Cano, Nino, Paulo Henrique Ganso and Felipe Melo were some of the main names who attended the “parade of champions”. Xamã and Marvilla put on a show and performed in the electric trio.

On Saturday, Fluminense drew 1-1 with Flamengo and hindered their rival in the fight for the Brazilian Championship title. Tricolor is in eighth place in the table, with 47 points.
The team’s next commitment will only take place after the end of the FIFA Date. Fluminense will face São Paulo at Maracanã, on November 22nd, in a game that will be marked by the “handover of the banner” of the two teams, champions of the Libertadores and Copa do Brasil this season.
