Flávio Dino asks Monark to make a video retraction

The audience between the Minister of Justice and Public Security, Flávio Dino, and influencer Bruno Monteiro Aiub, known as Monark, ended without conciliation. The session took place this Friday afternoon (1st) at the São Paulo Federal Justice Forum, where Dino requested that the youtuber portray himself on video, which the boy could not do due to the ban by the Federal Supreme Court (STF) .

According to lawyer Jorge Salomão, who defends Bruno in this and other legal proceedings involving the boy, Monark was ready to make a written apology, and was surprised by the minister’s request.

“Since they demanded that the retraction be on video, my advice was that Monark not make the recording, under the risk of being arrested or fined”, informed the jurist.

Still according to him, the day before the hearing, Flávio Dino’s lawyers would have informed during a conversation between lawyers that they would request compensation for BRL 100 thousand another written retraction, but they changed the order. “They retreated from yesterday to today,” Solomon reported.

Sought by Gazeta do Povo, the minister’s lawyer, Dora Cavalcanti, said only that “the attempt at conciliation was frustrated” and that “the process will follow normally”.

The hearing was closed without agreement between those involved, and the judge requested more time to review the case. “I imagine that I did this due to my manifestation during the hearing about the incompetence of the Federal Justice to judge the minister’s criminal complaint, since the appropriate forum would be the State Justice”, she informed, as explained in this morning’s report.

Now, the parties await the decision of the judge, who can receive the criminal complaint and proceed with the process or refer the case to the State Court.
