Flamengo returns to the Moroccan capital where it will compete for third place
The conquest of the long-awaited second championship in the Club World Cup ended early for Flamengo. This Tuesday (7), during a game at Ibn Tabouta Stadium, in Tangier, Rubro-Negro lost to Al Hilal by 3-2 in the semifinal. The match had goals from Salem, taking the penalty twice, and Vietto, who was the main name of the Saudi club.
Whoever scored for the Brazilian team was Pedro, who evened the score in the first half and cashed in the added time of the final stage. Despite these reactions, the team’s performance was far from positive. Matheuzinho, Gerson and Thiago Maia were the negative highlights of a bad collective performance.
With that, Al Hilal awaits the winner of the confrontation between Real Madrid, from Spain, and Al Ahly, from Egypt, who face each other on Wednesday, at 4 pm (Brasília time), in the other semifinal of the Club World Cup.
Flamengo returns to the Moroccan capital where it will compete for third place on Saturday, at 11:30 am (Brasília time). The big decision of the Worlds will be on the same day, also in Rabat, but at 4 pm in Brasilia.
