Fla faces Flu at Maracanã with an eye on the Brazilian title

Fla-Flu will put Fernando Diniz and Tite face to face, respectively the current and last coaches of the Brazilian team
Dreaming of the Brazilian Championship title, Flamengo will face Fluminense, starting at 6:30 pm (Brasília time) this Saturday (11) at the Maracanã stadium, in a match valid for the 34th round of the competition.
Motivated after a good 3-0 victory over Palmeiras last Wednesday (8), Rubro-Negro, who has 56 points, is trying to add the third consecutive victory to reach the same score as leader Botafogo, who measures forces with Bragantino next Sunday (12) in Bragança Paulista.
However, when asked, in a press conference after the triumph over Palmeiras, whether Flamengo could already be seen as a real candidate for the title, coach Tite disagreed: “If, at any point, we are down to a score or a game away, we say [sobre a disputa do título]. On the other side of the pitch will be the current champion of the Copa Libertadores. After securing the unprecedented continental title last Saturday (4), Fluminense (which is no longer looking for anything else in the Brazilian Championship and has the Club World Cup as its new target) was 0-0 with Internacional last Wednesday (8) in a match at which entered the field with a mixed team.
Now, in a regional classic, the question remains whether Tricolor das Laranjeiras will use maximum strength. According to coach Fernando Diniz, the idea is to evaluate game by game and choose the best: “I’m going to think game by game and choose the best [jogadores] that we have.
