First choreographies of Caprichoso’s 2024 songs are approved for show

Boi Caprichoso promoted a show of movement, body expression and energy on Friday (6) April, with the presentation of choreographies from the album “Cultura: o Triunfo do Povo”, at Curral Zeca Xibelão. The initiative, led by members of Corpo de Dança Caprichoso (CDC) and Troup Caprichoso, was attended by a committee of judges made up of art advisors, dance professionals and former items such as Waldir Santana, Inah Lopes, Izabel de Souza and Marlessandra Santana, important names in the history of Caprichoso.

Boi Caprichoso shaman and renowned choreographer, Erick Beltrão, was excited about the result.

“We kicked off with the 2024 choreographies, presenting them to the Art Council and some special guests. The Blue and White Nation can look forward to spectacular and accessible choreography. In the coming weeks, we will reveal the other choreographies and then present them all to the public at Curral Zeca Xibelão”, he said.

Hearing the choreographies is of great importance for the development process of Boi-Bumbá Caprichoso and the blue and white show, as highlighted by the president of the Art Council, Ericky Nakanome.

“Today, we had the opportunity to appreciate twelve choreographies in a first exhibition. A crucial moment in this creative process”, she assessed.

The former sister-in-law of Boi Caprichoso, Marlessandra Santana, expressed her admiration for the event.

“It was a stunning show, full of strength and determination with impeccable choreography. I am very happy for the invitation and I have great expectations for our ox, which is grand and vibrant. A true explosion of colors and emotions,” she said emotionally.

This event marks the first stage of stage choreography auditions. The second and final audition is scheduled for next Saturday (13), promising another display of talent and creativity in preparation for the 2024 festivities. The choreographies will also be available on the Boi Caprichoso channel, on YouTube.
