After the words of the former player, Pelé’s widow, Márcia Aoki, was invited to the stage to receive an award from the hands of FIFA president, Gianni Infantino, and Ronaldo.
With few words, she thanked the tribute. “It is an honor to be here, in this Fifa tribute to Edson, Pelé. I have a few words to say: God gave us Edson, and Edson gave us Pelé. And the world received them both so well. These are the words that I have thanks,” he said.
In the audience, former player Jairzinho, Pelé’s partner in the 1970 victory, also spoke about the impact of the King on Football and highlighted the idol’s versatility and dedication.
