Federal Revenue inspectors prepare strike this Tuesday – 05/15/2023 – Panel SA

The employees of the Federal Revenue Service plan to go on strike, starting this Tuesday (16), after the Lula government breached the agreement that it would sign a decree releasing funds for them to start receiving bonuses for productivity.
As shown by Sheeton March 7, Revenue Secretary Robinson Barreirinhas sent audio to a group of auditors informing that Lula would sign the decree later that week, which has not happened so far.
Inspectors are now putting pressure on Finance Minister Fernando Haddad to speed up the release of the money to which they would be entitled, established in a 2017 law. Discussions on the payment of efficiency bonuses have been held since 2016 and have already been the target of criticism of the TCU (Federal Audit Court).
The estimate of impact with the measure is almost BRL 900 million per year for the Union’s coffers and the adjustments would start to take effect from next year. The benefit would also be extended to reserve servers.
