Fátima Bernardes leaves Globo after 37 years

Journalist and presenter Fátima Bernardes, 61 years old, left Globo after 37 years. The Rio broadcaster confirmed Fátima’s resignation through a statement. The journalist’s contract expired at the end of last year and was not renewed.

Since 1987, the presenter has not left the air on the network’s schedule, she began her career as a reporter and became nationally known from 1989 onwards as a presenter for Jornal da Globo. She also worked at Fantástico, Jornal Hoje and Jornal Nacional, where she stayed from 1998 to 2011, moving from journalism to entertainment from 2012 until 2022 when she left the project to host The Voice Brasil and soon after a new program on GNT “Assim como a People”. Currently, Fátima will work for a specific project, that is, she will only have a contract with Globo for the duration of a certain program. And there are no projects planned for her in the coming months.

Everything indicates that the presenter will participate in the coverage of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, in a program on YouTube produced by Felipe Neto’s Play9 production company, which manages the journalist’s career.
