Fan who breastfed baby competes for FIFA’s The Best award

In addition to the announcement of the players nominated for the best player, coach award – in men’s and women’s football – of the season to The Best, FIFA revealed the three fans competing for the Best Fan Award. Among them, a supporter of Colón, from Argentina, who won the net by breastfeeding his son in the stands.
The scene was recorded by the lenses of the TNT Sports Argentina channel and took place in May this year, in an Argentine Championship match against Barracas Central, in the 17th round. The game ended in a 1-1 draw.
Also competing for the award are Fran Hurndall, from England, and Colombian Miguel Ángel, a Millonarios fan. The choice of winners will have public participation and online voting opened this Thursday, on the official FIFA website. There is still no official date for the event.
Ederson, a member of the Brazilian national team under the command of Fernando Diniz, is the country’s only representative in the awards and competes in the best goalkeeper category. Another six Manchester City players, who dominated the men’s list, are competing for the best in the world award: Erling Haaland, Julián Álvarez, Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gündogan (who transferred to Barcelona at the end of the season), Rodri and Bernardo Silva. Messi, the current winner, is also competing for the award. In the women’s category, Sam Kerr (Australia), Linda Caicedo (Colombia) and Jenni Hermoso (Spain) are the favorites.
The Puskás award, awarded to the scorer of the most beautiful goal of the season, has not yet defined its nominees. FIFA expects to release them on September 21st.
