The Ufam Cine & Vídeo Tarumã extension project shows family-themed films this week.
On Tuesday (31), the project will screen “Family Party” (2000). In the film, directed by Danish Thomas Vinterberg, the Patriarch (Henning Moritzen) of a very wealthy Danish family decides to celebrate his 60th birthday with a big party, but a revelation made by his son could spoil the celebration. The work is an acidic and surprising comedy.
On Thursday (2), it’s the turn of “Family Matters”, a Japanese drama that tells the story of a poor family that lives off petty crimes. Even though they have little money for their own needs, they decide to adopt a child who is facing difficulties. The family seems to live happily until an incident changes things.
The sessions take place in the Mini Auditorium of the FIC (Faculty of Information and Communication) located in the North sector of Ufam. They start at 12:30 pm and are free, in addition to providing an additional 2 hours per film.
For more information, follow the project’s social media on Instagram (@cinevideotaruma) and Facebook (Cine Video Tarumã).
The week will also feature the secret session on Wednesday (1). The film shown is only developed at the time of showing.
Cine&Video Tarumã is an extension project of the Federal University of Amazonas with more than 30 years of activity. All of its sessions are free and the project has always been involved with cinematographic training, working sometimes as a film club, sometimes as a special screening room. It is also worth emphasizing its educational value, as it is part of a federal university, and for the proposals for discussion and debates that the other activities of the project encourage.
