The book portrays the implementation of the integrated management model in Presidente Figueiredo

State deputy Commander Dan Câmara launches, next Friday (3), the book “From Planning to Tactics for Best Practices: Case Presidente Figueiredo – AM”. The event will take place at the Belarmino Lins Auditorium, in the Legislative Assembly of Amazonas, located at Avenida Mário Ypiranga Monteiro, 3950. Parque 10 de Novembro, at 9:30 am.

The more than 300 pages report in detail the implementation of the integrated management model in Presidente Figueiredo as a Pilot Project for later evaluation, adjustments and implementation in the various municipalities of Amazonas.

Between 2017 and 2020, Commander Dan held three different positions working to improve the lives of the citizens of the municipality: manager of the Assistant Secretariat for Planning and Integrated Management of the Secretariat of Public Security of Amazonas (SEAGI/SSP-AM); Municipal Secretary of Public Order and Integration (SEMOPI/PF) and Secretary of Municipal Government – ​​(SEMGOV/PF).

The main results achieved in the period were the administrative reform experienced in the Municipality and the creation of the Municipal Secretariat for Public Order and Integration, which served as a contribution to the creation and implementation of the Presidente Figueiredo Project – Cidade Segura.

Municipalization of Public Security is understood as: a process of devolution of constitutional competence through the legal inclusion and empowerment of the Municipality in the Single System of Public Security and Social Defense.

The objective is to achieve a public security and social defense of the Union, the States and the Federal District, in articulation with society, within the scope of the competences and legal attributions of each one.

“Among the basic actions, I highlight the Community Conversations, a moment to diagnose communities and develop interaction strategies through constant dialogue and actions focused on priority needs, bringing solutions”, comments the deputy.

“As a result of the Community Conversations, we had constant training of the teams to better serve the population, simulation of first aid with the boatmen who make the river transport to the school, teaching them about the safety of the students during the entire transport to the school, the establishment of the Junior Municipal Guard, which took hundreds of children out of idleness, taught them how to perform first aid, how to behave inside the boat, etc”, he explains.

The book is technical, but it describes step by step how the Municipality experienced the change and came to know the concept of management and integrated action and partnership between public bodies and society.

The work is recommended to all Security professionals, especially federal, state and, mainly, municipal public managers, discussing Security as a duty of the State and which must be more effectively assimilated as everyone’s responsibility and right.

Commander Dan has experience in the most diverse Public Security activities: Co-founder of the National Public Security Force, Coordinated the security operations of the Pan-American and Para Pan-American; World Judo Operation, in 2006 and 2007 in RJ, he was General Commander of the Military Police of Amazonas, founded and coordinated the State Integrated Command and Control Center (CICC), served in the National Public Security Secretariat (SENASP/MESP) , was Extraordinary Secretary of the Government of Amazonas for Public Security matters, Deputy Executive Secretary of Planning and Integrated Management of Security (SEAGI/SSP-AM).
