An unavailability of the Central Bank’s bank transfer operation postponed the payment of 45,335 unemployment insurance installments. The information was confirmed by the Ministry of Labor and Employment on Thursday night (18).

According to a note from the ministry, the failure in the operating system returned the installments planned for payment via TED (Electronic Transfer of Values) that were scheduled for May 16, last Tuesday.

Payment will be made in the next batch, scheduled for Tuesday, May 23, and it is not necessary for the citizen to make any type of request with the Ministry of Labor and Employment.

In a note, the ministry states that only installments via TED were returned and will be reissued for payment on May 23. “The remainder was paid normally”, he says.

Payment information will be available for consultation by workers in the Digital Employment Card, starting at 12 pm this Saturday (20).

Since Tuesday, beneficiaries of unemployment insurance report difficulties in receiving the May installment of unemployment insurance. According to complaints published on social networks, the problem affects those who do not have a Caixa or Caixa Tem account.

The benefit, paid in up to five installments, is credited between 31 and 60 days after the worker’s request. For those who choose to receive a bank account from an institution other than Caixa, payment is by TED.

This year, the value can vary from R$ 1,320 to R$ 2,230.97.

Until March of this year, 1.8 million unemployment insurance claims were registered, according to a survey by the Ministry of Labor and Employment. The time for the release of the amount varies between 31 and 60 days after the request.
