The main agenda discussed at the meeting, last Friday (30), was the approval of the table and regulations for the 2023 Amapaense Intermunicipal Championship. After extensive discussion between the representatives of the leagues and the board of the federation, it was decided that the will start on September 12, 2023 and will have the participation of 14 teams, representing different municipalities in the state. In addition, the regulation was analyzed and approved in detail, aiming to guarantee the organization and the good development of the competition.
A great novelty announced during the meeting was the creation of the Women’s Intermunicipal Amapaense Championship. With the aim of promoting and encouraging the participation of women in amateur football, the Federation decided to create this competition. The inclusion of women’s football is an important milestone for the development of the sport and represents a step forward in valuing women in the sports scenario.
As a way to strengthen amateur football throughout the state, the Federation announced financial support in the amount of R$10,000 for each of the 15 municipal leagues present at the meeting. This investment aims to help the leagues in their daily activities and contribute to the growth of amateur football in their respective municipalities.
Finally, the prizes for the men’s and women’s championships of the 2023 Amapaense Intermunicipal Championship were announced. In the Amapaense Intermunicipal Women’s Championship, the champion will receive a prize of R$12,000, and the runner-up will receive R$8,000.
The Amapaense Football Federation reinforces its commitment to promoting the development of amateur football in the state, always seeking to improve its competitions and provide opportunities for all sports lovers. With the approval of the table and regulations for the 2023 Amapaense Intermunicipal Championship, the inclusion of the Intermunicipal Women and financial support for municipal leagues, the expectation is for a very successful year in amateur football in Amapá.
The men’s Intermunicipal championship will start on September 12, at 4 pm at the Charles Brito Stadium, in Porto Grande, with the confrontation between Porto Grande X Laranjal do Jari.
The women’s Intermunicipal Championship starts on October 16, at Estádio Zerão, with the match Mazagão X Laranjal do Jari.
