Manaus (AM) – The 45th Amazonas Agricultural Exhibition (Expoagro) has generated good prospects for rural producers and ranchers in the state, due to the new space linked to the opportunity for significant business and knowledge that will be provided to those who work in the sector. On Saturday (18), Governor Wilson Lima launched the fair that will take place between the 5th and 10th of December, with the expectation of generating more than R$195 million in business.

Expoagro will be held in the first stage of the Eurípedes Ferreira Lins Multipurpose Park, which is being built by the Government of Amazonas, at kilometer 02 of BR-174, the highway that connects Manaus to Boa Vista.

“Since we resumed the fair in 2019, it has only grown. The expectation for this year is that around R$200 million will be generated during these five days of the event”,

highlighted Governor Wilson Lima.

The president of the Livestock Farmers Association of the municipality of Careiro da Várzea, Francisco Roque, highlighted the importance of the fair for the work of rural producers in the state.

“Expoagro is of great importance for rural producers, as it provides new technologies and brings knowledge to producers by displaying the best they have in their home. And this year it will be a super Expoagro with its own house and with big events that will take place in the park”,

The president of the Amazonas Buffalo Breeders Association (ACBA), Jussara Haddad, commented that it is a milestone for the state’s agribusiness segment.

“This is a rescue edition for our agricultural sector and we celebrate the strength and vitality of our sector. The State Government is to be congratulated because today we can count on this space that will be definitive, thus setting an important milestone for agriculture, as we will be able to do business and have innovations for our agricultural sector”,

This will be the first time that the space will host the fair, coordinated by the State Secretariat for Rural Production (Sepror). In addition to the record expectation of economic movement, the Government of Amazonas, through Sepror, expects the participation of more than 350 thousand visitors and 450 exhibitors, involving the sale of machinery, animal businesses, cattle, goats, sheep, market food and rural credit actions, through financial agents.

Expoagro is the showcase of sustainable agribusiness in Amazonas and promotes the best opportunities for doing business, contacts and learning about new technologies available on the market, benefiting small, medium and large rural producers and the population in general, providing economic development, entertainment and modernization of the sector .

Structure

The work is carried out by the State Secretariat for Infrastructure (Seinfra) and the first stage project is 95% completed. The work generates 600 direct and indirect jobs.

The park has a total area of ​​27 hectares and a built area of ​​16 hectares, and is divided into three blocks: A (rodeo and vaquejada track), B (for exhibitors, small farm, amusement park and food court) and C ( two parking lots with a total capacity of 975 spaces, an area for fish farming tanks; an area for small and large animal pavilions; and others; in addition to accesses with circulation areas for pedestrians and cars.
