Exit proposal does not evolve, and Cristiano returns to training with Fluminense at CT Carlos Castilho

Cristiano is back at CT Carlos Castilho. In fact, since last Monday. Still out of the plans of coach Fernando Diniz and released by the board to look for a new club, the left-back returned to training at the Tricolor team’s Training Center after negotiations for his departure did not advance.
Cristiano had a proposal from a Saudi Arabian club in hand and the deal was under way. So much so that the athlete was released from the pre-season and had carte blanche to settle the details with his likely new club. However, the talks ended up not moving forward and the deal faltered.
Back at square one, Cristiano was training away from the club. But as he is still an athlete from Fluminense, he was invited to return to CT Carlos Castilho to keep in shape. That doesn’t mean he’s back in the picture. He continues with the release of the tricolor to seek a new destination.
For not having done pre-season, Cristiano is training separately with defenders Matheus Ferraz, whose contract ends at the end of March, and Luan Freitas, who is in the final stages of recovery after tearing ligaments in his left knee.
The athlete played 35 games for Fluminense (24 as a starter) last season and did not please many tricolors. The winger is 24 years old and cost the tricolor coffers around R$9 million.
