This Saturday, the 12th, the day after the launch of the Growth Acceleration Program 3 (CAP 3), by the president Lula da Silva, at the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro, in which he participated, the governor Clecio Luis, Enthusiastic, he woke up inspecting works at the junction of the Norte/Sul and Duca Serra highways and visiting Expo Favela, at Garden Shopping. Afterwards, he traveled to Amapá, where he inaugurated the ‘Junior Vieira’ stadium and participated in the master class of the Zootechnics Course at the Ueap campuses, in that municipality.
Clécio also gave an interview to the program ‘Togas and Gowns’ (Diary FM 90.9)About the PAC 3, saying that the presidential announcement that R$ 28.6 billion from the program will be allocated to Amapá generates a development horizon in the state, because, together with other actions, it will enable the preparation of medium and long-term planning.
The governor was thrilled with the possibility of completely paving the BR-156, as well as with the construction of the bridge on the Jari River, connecting Amapá to the rest of the country, by land. BR-156 has 244.2 kilometers without asphalt in the southern section (between Macapá and Laranjal do Jari) and 110 kilometers in the northern section (between Calçoene and Oiapoque). The resources sent by the PAC, in the amount of R$ 1.6 billion, guarantee the paving of almost 300 kilometers, divided into 5 lots. In the southern section, there is a sixth lot that already has work underway, by the Brazilian Army, in an extension of 61.1 kilometers.
After talking about works planned with resources from the PAC, in various sectors, such as technology and health, including the reconstruction of Hospital de Clínicas Alberto Lima, the governor noted that this “breath of hope and optimism” is due to Amapá coming to being widely seen, as a result of the Union’s good relationship with the state and the articulations made by senators Davi Alcolumbre and Randolfe Rodrigues, as well as by the minister of integration and regional development, Waldez Góes.
“And we here in the government do planning, designing projects and going on missions with ministers and other authorities”pointed out Clecio Luis, clarifying that the release of PAC 3 resources will be in the medium and long term, but that the government is already working under the influence of the Growth Acceleration Program, such as the Santana Waterway Port, whose works have already started with the senator’s amendment randolf, and the northern stretch of BR-156, with money already secured by David Alcolumbre.
The governor, in the interview, announced that a penitentiary will soon be built in Macapá, with funds obtained by the senator David, and another in an inland municipality, yet to be defined, this one using part of the resources recently released by the Ministry of Justice and Public Security. Four other waterway ports will be built, in addition to Santana, in Mazagão, Oiapoque, Laranjal do Jari and Calçoene.
Asked about the number of jobs that the works of the Growth Acceleration Program could generate in Amapá, the governor insisted on defining that employment is dignity and unemployment, indignity, and that for this reason it could generate expectations, he almost cited some index, but informed that he is finishing a spreadsheet and only after the calculations have been made will he announce the probable universe of jobs that the PAC will be able to promote in the state.
