Enrollments open for the Women’s Self Defense course at the Olympic Village in Manaus

Manaus (AM) – This Monday (31st), the registration process for the first group of the Women’s Self Defense Course, at the Vila Olímpica de Manaus, begins. Coordinated by the Secretary of State for Sports and Leisure (Sedel), through the Forming Champions Project, the activity aims to teach fighting techniques and self-defense exclusively for women, registrations extend until Friday (4).
“With this exclusive course, Governor Wilson Lima strengthens the empowerment of women, offering support so that they can acquire skills and techniques based on martial arts, aiming at their self-defense and safety”,
highlighted Eric Tinoco, coordinator of the Forming Champions Project.
The female self-defense course will be taught by professors who are part of the Project Forming Champions, who will share theoretical classes and practical activities for the participants. Classes will be divided into four modules, in the areas of jiu-jitsu and wrestling. The first class starts on the 5th of August, at 8 am in the Olympic Village of Manaus.
In all, 100 vacancies will be made available, exclusively for the female audience. Interested parties should register at the Vila Olímpica Jiu-Jitsu Tatami, from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. 4.
