By the end of the first round of Barezão 2024, almost 38 thousand fans attended sports venues in the capital and in the interior

Manaus (AM) – The final of the first round of the 2024 Amazonense Championship, between Amazonas and São Raimundo, held last Sunday (25), at Arena da Amazônia, reached an audience of 7,714 fans. With this number, the decision surpassed the 2015 audience, also held at the Arena da Amazônia, which received 6,787 fans. On that occasion, Nacional FC lifted the cup and became the first champion in the temple of Amazonian football.

By the end of the first round of Barezão 2024, almost 38 thousand fans attended sports venues in the capital and in the interior, to closely follow their favorite teams. Games stages, Arena da Amazônia, Carlos Zamith, Ismael Benigno, ‘Colina’, Francisco Garcia, in Rio Preto da Eva, and Gilberto Mestrinho, ‘Gilbertão’, in Manacapuru, witnessed great goals, dribbles and efforts from committed athletes in honoring the mantle they wear and reciprocating the encouragement coming from the stands.

The increase in attendance moves FAF president, Ednailson Rozenha, who reveals his gratitude to the fans and his enthusiasm for the second round.

“It’s another dream come true. Therefore, I am thrilled to see that fans are back in the stadiums. In the capital and in the interior, we have thousands of Amazonians who are passionate about football. They deserve everything we are experiencing. This increase is proof that we are restoring the credibility of Amazonian football and creating an identity with the new generations, as the stands were also taken over by many young people, teenagers and children. The second round is about to start, we are now halfway through the championship and we still have many games to play. The greatest Barezão of all time needs you, fan, let’s make history together”,

The rescue of fans from the stadium is the result of several actions created by the Federation that involve clubs, the press and, of course, fans. Among them are: affordable ticket prices, access control, organization, accreditation of the sports press and, of course, transparency in the competition. This shows that there has been a positive change in the Amazonense Championship, on and off the field. Fans are also excited about the possibility of seeing their favorite team up close and even having the chance to take a new car home. Just like in the first round, in the rest of the championship, each ticket purchased will be worth a ticket to compete for the vehicle offered by the FAF.
