Encceja 2023 tests are applied this Sunday across the country

Participants want certification for primary and secondary education
More than one million participants started, at 9:00 am this Sunday (27), the tests of the National Examination for Certification of Youth and Adult Skills (Encceja) 2023. The access gates to the examination sites were closed at 8:45 am. Participants seek certification for elementary or high school, in the morning and afternoon.
In all, 1,104,146 participants are enrolled in the exam, of which 193,572 seek certification for elementary school and 910,574 for high school. Women are the majority, with 613,097 participants. The male audience has 491,049 subscribers.
In the morning, participants will have four hours to complete the objective tests, each with 30 multiple-choice questions. Those seeking certification in elementary school will be assessed in natural sciences and mathematics. For secondary education, knowledge in natural sciences and its technologies will be checked, as well as mathematics and its technologies.
In the afternoon, the test will last five hours. For participants seeking certification in elementary school, Portuguese language, modern foreign language, arts, physical education, writing, history and geography tests will be applied. As for certification in high school, language tests, codes and their technologies will be applied, in addition to writing, and human sciences and their technologies.
Encceja
The Encceja was carried out for the first time in 2002, to assess competences, skills and knowledge of young people and adults who did not finish primary or secondary education at the appropriate age. The exam is carried out by the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep) in collaboration with the state and municipal departments of Education. The issuance of the certificate and declaration of proficiency is the responsibility of the Departments of Education and the federal institutes of education, science and technology that sign the Term of Adhesion to Encceja.
