The Electoral Public Prosecutor’s Office (MP Electoral) is asking for the impeachment of state deputy Kaká Barbosa and his wife, Sonize Barbosa, both from the PL. He was re-elected and she elected federal deputy. The couple was investigated as of October 2, the date of the first round of the 2022 election, when the Federal Police seized a vehicle transporting voters to polling places.
In the vehicle, campaign material by Kaká Barbosa, Sonize Barbosa and Jair Bolsonaro, then candidate for President of the Republic for the PL, was found. A list of voters typed on letterhead of the Legislative Assembly of Amapá, chaired by Kaká Barbosa, was also found.
Heard, the driver said he was transporting some of his neighbors, residents of Conjunto Macapaba, but the neighbors gave testimonies different from the version presented by the driver.
According to the Electoral MP prosecutors, they all lied when saying they were brothers or neighbors.
It turned out that one of those caught lives in the center of Macapá and was, at the time, occupying a commissioned position in the state government.
Federal Police agents would have heard from the driver that he was at the service of the campaign of the couple Kaká and Sonize Barbosa, having filled up the vehicle using a fuel ticket and would receive another R$ 100.00.
For electoral attorney Pablo Beltrand, who signs the action pending at the Regional Electoral Court, the conduct was practiced within the electoral period and by a person who was in the service of Kaká and Sonize.

As always happens when he is the target of a lawsuit, Kaká Barbosa remains silent and does not speak out, the same thing happening with his wife.
Kaká Barbosa is being cited as a candidate for another term as president of the Assembly, in the election scheduled for February 2, with deputy Alliny Serrão (União Brasil) as his main opponent. Kaká has been president of the Assembly for eight years.
