EJA: Enrollment of new students and transfer takes place this Friday (4) in the AM

Manaus (AM) – Enrollment of new students for the second semester of the Education of Young Students (EJA) will take place next Friday (4). On the same date, the transfer of students who are already enrolled, but who want to change teaching units, will also be open. Both procedures can be done online, through the website matriculas.am.gov.br, or in person at the 182 schools in the state network, which have EJA. To complete the process, simply present the documentation at the chosen unit.

For students wishing to complete Elementary School 2 (from 6th to 9th grade), the minimum age for enrollment is 15 years old, while for High School it is 18 years old. Students under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a guardian.

From last Monday (31st) to Thursday (3rd), the schools of the State Department of Education and School Sports are in the process of automatically re-enrolling students already enrolled in the first semester of EJA, 2023. it is not necessary for the students to be present at the school, as all the documentation is already in the system of the teaching units.

On the 4th of August, new students and those wishing to transfer to other school units need to hand in their enrollment documents at the chosen school. The first step is to consult the website matriculas.am.gov.br. At the electronic address, it is possible to advance the enrollment process, as well as see the availability of vacancies in the 182 schools in the network that offer the EJA modality.

“The process can be carried out directly at the school of interest, but we emphasize the importance of advancing steps through the website. This can avoid any inconveniences, such as lack of vacancies, problems with location, etc. We provide all electronic support and the student needs to take advantage of it”,

highlighted the coordinator of the Management of Specific Educational Assistance and Diversity (Gaeed) of the Department of Education, Kátia Menezes.

Documents (originals and copies) required for new student registration and transfer are: identification document with photo (RG, CNH, work permit or passport), CPF, Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate – if the student has changed again for this reason, School Transcript, Proof of Address and Proof of completion of schooling prior to the intended stage.

On the next 4th and 5th of August, teachers of the EJA modality will be in the teaching units, ending the Pedagogical Journeys about the new semester. With the theme “EJA: pedagogical practice and strengthening of citizenship”, the meetings serve to align the last details before the return to school.

The return to the classrooms will take place on the 7th of August, when more than 30,000 students from the state network return to the EJA routine. The modality offers the opportunity for students to carry out each stage available in just 6 months, that is, it is possible to complete the 6th to 9th grade of Elementary School in two years and High School in a year and a half.
