Eduardo Bolsonaro compares teachers to drug dealers – 07/10/2023 – Politics

Federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) compared “doctrinator” teachers to drug dealers in a speech during a pro-armament event in Brasilia this Sunday (9).

“There is no difference between an indoctrinating professor and a drug dealer who tries to kidnap and take our children to the world of crime”, said the son of former president Jair Bolsonaro at the IV National Meeting Pro-Arms for Freedom.

Next, Eduardo stated that the “indoctrinator” teacher might be “even worse” than the drug dealer. “Because he will cause discord within your household, seeing oppression in every relationship.”

The speech made the name of the deputy enter the list of most commented subjects on Twitter.

Left-wing lawmakers condemned the speech on social media. “Disgusting,” said federal deputy Erika Hilton (PSOL-SP).

Federal deputy Guilherme Boulos (PSOL-SP) said he will file a complaint with the Ethics Council of the Chamber of Deputies against Eduardo Bolsonaro. “This insult to all Brazilian teachers cannot go unpunished,” wrote Boulos on Twitter.

The Minister of Justice and Public Security, Flávio Dino, said he had asked the Federal Police to investigate the speeches at the event with the participation of Eduardo Bolsonaro.

“The objective is to identify evidence of possible crimes, notably incitements or apologies for criminal acts”, wrote Dino on social networks.
