The Dom Bosco Center reported via social media that its Catholic teaching channel on YouTube was deleted early this Thursday (19). The reason for the suspension has not yet been informed by the platform. The institution said it was investigating the possibility of a hacker attack, as it had not received any official notice from YouTube. When contacted, YouTube did not respond to the report’s questions.

The Catholic organization often publishes lectures, videos and documentaries defending the doctrine of the Catholic Church “against the enemies of the faith”. In addition, it maintains a publishing house with more than 140,000 Catholic books.

In 2021, the Dom Bosco Center filed a lawsuit against the organization Catholics for the Right to Decide, whose main cause is the legalization of abortion. The Dom Bosco Center complained about the misuse of the term “Catholic” to defend an agenda contrary to Catholic values – the practice of abortion is condemned by the Catholic Church. The STJ ended up deciding in favor of the abortion organization.
