Deputy highlighted the need to increase the number of Military Police in Amazonas, especially in some municipalities in the interior

Manaus (AM) – State deputy Thiago Abrahim (União Brasil) said in his first speech on the tribune of the Legislative Assembly of Amazonas (Aleam), this Wednesday (8), that he will be the active voice of the interior of the State: “the interior has a thirst for development and calls for advances”.

Abrahim will present proposals that contribute to improvements in Health, Education, Public Security and Social and Sustainable Development, defense of the Manaus Free Trade Zone and Rural Production in the State, looking mainly at men and women from the countryside.

“This will be a great and arduous challenge, but also the most honorable public role of my life. I will repay that trust with hard work and dedication to honor every vote given to me”,

he said.

Thiago Abrahim, president of the Commission for Municipal Affairs and Regional Development of the Legislative House, will give speed to bills that address housing, civil defense, especially in the event of floods and ebbs, territorial conflicts, among other matters.

For the parliamentarian, it is also important to invest heavily in the primary sector, which is the basis of the world economy, and is part of the survival of the man from the countryside.

“I defend the creation of instruments that contribute to the flow of rural production, such as the revitalization of roads, side roads and improvements to ports, airports, in addition to supplying the population of the State itself. Bananas and tambaqui, for example, come from abroad, and we have great potential for their production and supply. I will fight hard for municipalist causes. The interior is thirsty for development and cries out for advances”,

Public security

The deputy also highlighted the need to increase the number of Military Police in Amazonas, especially in some municipalities in the interior that are in a situation of vulnerability.

“The lack of security is a reality that we face in the interior of our State. There are several municipalities that have been suffering from the low staff that the Military Police face. Several requests were made, including in the municipality of Itacoatiara, to increase staff and improve security. Today, Amazonas has the highest homicide rates. It is the third in Brazil. We need to fight this.”

Abrahim thanked the votes he obtained in the last elections and pledged to carry out a mandate with ethics and participation of the population.

“I can only thank the people of Amazonas for the 31,731 votes as a state deputy, I know that in order to meet these challenges, I need to bring with me the lessons I have accumulated throughout my life. Teachings that I had inside my home, where my greatest examples, my father and my mother, always taught me to fight with ethics and righteousness to serve our people. A public man has to serve and not be served, ”he concluded.
