Federal deputy Ubiratan Sanderon (PL-RS) is due to file this Thursday (29) a bill that provides for an amnesty for former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) if he is condemned to ineligibility by the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), which resumed the trial of a PDT action in the morning.
“Complying with all constitutional requirements, we are going to present the bill granting amnesty not specifically just the case of Jair Bolsonaro, but countless other cases in a determined period in which, having no relation to major crimes, only civil electoral offenses, may be subject to amnesty. ”, said the deputy without specifying the period covered by the legislation.
The project provides for amnesty for civil electoral offenses of low relevance, without covering heinous crimes, racism, torture, terrorism, violence and corruption. “Only situations that have no relation [com
estes crimes] may be covered by the bill that we are presenting in the Federal Chamber”, he added.
Still according to Sanderson, the project has the support of the entire PL bench and federal deputies from other opposition parties, without mentioning which ones they are. The parliamentarian believes that the text will have a quick processing in the Chamber and, later, in the Senate before going to the sanction of the president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), that can have the veto analyzed in a posterior joint session of the Congress.
