Federal deputy Dorinaldo Malafaia (PDT/AP) said in a radio interview this Saturday (22) that the opposition plans to obstruct the voting agenda of the Chamber of Deputies and thus disrupt the rite of approval of the national nursing floor – according to the Federal Government submits proposal.

Interviewed during the Conectas Brasília program, on Diário FM radio (90.9), the parliamentarian from Amapá warned that the maneuver could delay the approval of the new salary table for health professionals.

“The floor already guarantees the source of payment for the new remuneration, whether for states or municipalities to complement what is missing, as has been done for years with education professionals, with the creation of Fundeb”, Malafaia said.

He explained that President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) signed a Bill (PLN) to open a credit worth R$ 7.3 billion to guarantee the payment of the minimum wage for nursing.

The floor establishes a minimum remuneration for the category in the country at BRL 4.75 thousand for nurses, in addition to 70% of this value for nursing technicians (BRL 3.3 thousand) and 50% for assistants and midwives (BRL 2 ,3 thousand).

Dorinaldo said that the signing of the project, however, does not immediately guarantee the payment of new wages, since it still depends on approval by the National Congress and the overthrow of the injunction granted by the Federal Supreme Court (STF) last year that prevented the adoption from the floor.
