Manaus (AM) – Federal deputy Fausto Santos Júnior (União Brasil) was officially sworn in, this Thursday (18), as the new secretary of the State Secretariat for Urban and Metropolitan Development (Sedurb). On social media, the politician thanked Governor Wilson Lima for taking office.
“Today, duly sworn in as Secretary of State for Sedurb, I thank, once again, Governor Wilson Lima for his trust. I face this new challenge with dedication, responsibility and hard work”,
he said.
“Total commitment to build a future of achievements focused on urban development and dignity of the people of Amazonas. I count on everyone’s support in this mission to improve the quality of life of our people. In fact, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the messages supporting our management”,

For the governor of Amazonas, the presence of Fausto Jr. in the portfolio marks União Brasil’s strategy for housing policy in the State and will continue the work that is already being carried out, prioritizing basic sanitation and housing projects.
Investment in housing solutions in 2023 totaled around R$100 million. The holder will continue with the objective of acquiring federal resources for the sector.

With Fausto’s inauguration, the position of parliamentarian in the Federal Chamber will be occupied by Pauderney Avelino (UB). This articulation was necessary to resolve Wilson and Pauderney’s differences over the state presidency of the party.
On the 9th, the state management of the União Brasil party came under the control of governor Wilson Lima, due to the decision of the national executive. The new composition headed by the governor of Amazonas will feature Avelino as the party’s second vice-president.
