The Legislative Assembly of the State of Amapá (Alap) discussed this Thursday (4) in its 31st Ordinary Session a technical opinion from the Brazilian Institute of the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (IBAMA) who recommends to Federal government to deny authorization to Petrobras for oil exploration off the coast of Amapá.
On the occasion, the state deputies decided to travel to Brasília, next week, to carry out negotiations with the state’s federal bench, the Minister of the Environment and Climate Change, Marina Silva, and up to the President Squid, to authorize the request of the Petrobras. ”The countries nearby are already exploring.
