Federal deputy for the PL and truck driver leader Zé Trovão said that street demonstrations will not change the decision of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) on the political fate of former president Jair Bolsonaro. He also stated during the Capital Subject program, from the People’s Gazettethat at the moment truck drivers are also unable to make stoppages if Bolsonaro is considered ineligible.

The former president’s trial at the TSE began this Thursday, but was suspended and should be resumed next week. Most ministers are hostile to Bolsonaro.

“What if we go tomorrow to fill the streets of Brasilia and Brazil with green and yellow flags and ask for democracy and fight for all of this? Will the TSE’s decision change? These guys [ministros] are not afraid because they were not elected by the people. People can’t get them out of there. So they have no concern for the Brazilian people”, said Zé Trovão during Subject Capital. Click here to watch the entire program.

The congressman stated that “the right moment will come when we have to bring people to the streets. People have to come and express their dissatisfaction as we did during Dilma Rousseff’s time”.

“If you talk about stopping the roads today, the truck driver will look at me and say: ‘I’m sorry, I was on your side in 2018, I was on your side in 2021 and I only collected problems and I can’t afford these problems, I have a son at home’. I have friends of mine who are bankrupt,” he said.
