Refills 2023

Deadline for taxpayers to settle debts with the Government of the Federal District with discounts of up to 99% is November 30th

For those who are in debt to the Government of the Federal District (GDF) and have not yet renegotiated their debts, this is the last call. The deadline for joining the Federal District Tax Regularization Incentive Program (Refis-DF) 2023 ends next Thursday (30).

Through the program, it is possible to renegotiate overdue debts with the GDF until December 31, 2022, with discounts and installments to stay up to date with public accounts.

Refis-DF 2023 grants discounts of 40% to 99% on fines and interest on the principal value of debts that companies, mainly, have with the GDF. Individuals can also join the program.

Those interested in renegotiating their debts must pay in full or, if they choose to pay in installments, they must pay 10% of the amount on the bill’s due date, on November 30th.

Until this Friday (24), with Refis 2023, R$55.6 million had been paid out of a total receivable of R$149.2 million with approximately 180 thousand individuals and 4.7 thousand companies in debt to the public Accounts. The 2022 edition received R$440.5 million out of a total receivable of R$318.3 million.

The expectation this year is to reach R$2 billion in debt renegotiated with the discount.

Negotiation applies to debts of:

  • Tax on Operations Relating to the Circulation of Goods (ICMS);
  • Service Tax (ISS), Urban Property and Territorial Property Tax (IPTU);
  • Motor Vehicle Ownership Tax (IPVA);
  • Real Estate Transfer Tax (ITBI);
  • Causa Mortis and Donation Transmission Tax (ITCD);
  • Public Cleaning Fee (TLP);
  • Simple Candango,
  • debts arising from monetary penalties for non-compliance with ancillary tax obligations; It is
  • tax and non-tax debts of the DF and its authorities, foundations and similar entities.

Accession

To join Refis 2023, the interested party simply needs to go to one of the Federal District Revenue units or through the Federal District Revenue Services Portal. This is the last debt renegotiation program if the new tax reform is approved by the Legislature.

Being in active debt can result in a series of consequences for the debtor, from registration with the SPC/Serasa, proceedings at a notary’s office, judicial execution, seizure of assets and impediment of participation in bidding processes and bank credit.
