Expofeira do Amapá, version 2023, in addition to its many positive factors, for the first time in its entire history, serves eminently as a showcase for local products already with great acceptance in the foreign market.
One of the products with the Amapá Seal on display at Parque da Fazendinha is açaí grown sustainably by Cooperativa Bio Açaí.
On this first weekend of Expofeira, Bio Açaí cooperative members were received at a meeting by senator Davi Alcolumbre, recognized by them as the fundamental political factor for the success of the business.
“For me, it is a great joy to see our work having significant results in the lives of our people”celebrated the senator of the republic, at the meeting.
The Bio Açaí Cooperative combines sustainability as a healthy cultivation and production technique with the appreciation of Amapá farmers.
“The development of this work was possible thanks to a struggle within our mandate to increase the share of biofuels in diesel from 5% to 10%, reaching up to 22%, directly interfering with our extractivism”explained Davi Alcolumbre.
At the end of the meeting, the senator promised to continue
working to transform the lives of Amapá residents and contribute to the socioeconomic development of the state.
