Federal deputy Deltan Dallagnol (Podemos-PR) said this Monday (17) that the complaint filed by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) against Senator Sergio Moro (União Brasil-PR) is “absurd”. Dallagnol was the chief prosecutor of the Lava Jato task force in Curitiba, while Moro was the federal judge responsible for the operation’s proceedings.

“PGR filed a criminal complaint against Sergio Moro for the alleged crime of slander, which is inept (and absurd) and contradicts the behavior of the PGR itself in other cases, denoting alignment with the Lula government in clear pursuit of the former judge and Lava Jato,” he said. the deputy in twitter.

The PGR denounced Moro to the Federal Supreme Court (STF) for the alleged crime of slander against Minister Gilmar Mendes, a member of the Court. Last Friday (14), a video was released on social media in which the former Lava Jato judge talks about “buying a habeas corpus from Gilmar Mendes”. After the content became public, the dean of the Supreme appealed to the PGR to adopt the appropriate measures on the case.

On social media, Dallagnol stated that the minister “slandered and insulted Lava Jato prosecutors several times”. “Gilmar Mendes slandered and insulted Lava Jato prosecutors several times. Will the PGR report it in 3 days too? He called it a ‘death squad’, ‘criminal organization’, ‘cretins’, ‘gangsters’, ‘spurious’, ‘rascals’, ‘scumbags’ and pointed out ‘corruption’”, said the former prosecutor. Earlier, Moro stated that the speech about Gilmar Mendes “does not represent what I think” and was edited in a “joking context”.
