In total across the grain category, 1,616 producers suffered losses. Other types of crops were also affected, such as tobacco, totaling 2,691 farmers affected. In the case of fruit growing, there were 88, with major losses of oranges and grapes. In the vegetable area, 198 farmers suffered damage. There was also the loss of 35,500 eucalyptus trees. ➤ Homeless producers: in addition to crops, 1,192 houses suffered damage due to the cyclone. Farmers also lost 621 sheds, 12 warehouses, 116 silos, 25 smoking greenhouses, 25 greenhouses/plastic tunnels for horticulture, 128 dams (fish farming/irrigation), 53 poultry farms and 45 pigsties. 4,456.8 kilometers of dirt roads were also damaged, preventing the flow of food that was not lost, in 197 communities. ➤ Losses in reais: total losses in agriculture already reach R$1.1 billion, points out the National Confederation of Municipalities (CNM).
