The president of the CUT, Sérgio Nobre, raised the tone against Roberto Campos Neto this Tuesday (14th), calling the commander of the Central Bank a “scoundrel” and a person without “shame on his face”.
“So, Campos Neto, it can wait. Your potato is in the oven, because we’re going to meet tomorrow. These acts that we’re doing today will happen until this scoundrel falls down, is ashamed of himself and hands over his post to someone decent, who has a commitment to the working class, can assume and help to get the country out of this chaos”, said Nobre, in an act against the interest rate in front of the BC building, in Brasília.
The largest trade union center in the country and a close ally of the government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), the CUT is at the forefront of the protests against Campos Neto, which began to take shape this week.
The prediction is that social movements and leftist parties will increase the pressure against the president of the BC and the autonomy of the institution.
