Curitiba is the scene of the biggest demonstration against corruption and in favor of Dallagnol

Thousands of people gathered in Boca Maldita, in Curitiba, in an act in favor of federal deputy Deltan Dallagnol (Podemos-PR). Protesters took to the streets claiming against corruption and impeachment of the parliamentary mandate.

A People’s Gazette, one of the participants of the Adriele Fernandes event, highlighted the importance of taking a stand at such a delicate moment in Brazilian democracy. “[Estamos aqui] first, to attract more people. I see that many people are afraid to take a stand, who repress their opinions, who use fewer words… I think this is the starting point for us to start bringing courage back to people”, he said.

In addition to thousands of citizens from Curitiba, deputies were also present at the act that began at 3 pm. Deputy Fábio Oliveira (Podemos-PR) was one of them, who are in the protest. “We cannot agree with what is being done in Brazil these days”, began the congressman. “I said a very wrong word this week, because I said that we are starting to feel a hint of dictatorship. And someone corrected me. It’s not a pinch. We are already feeling the beginning, the real beginning, the genesis of the dictatorship in Brazil”, he said.
