The installation of the CPMI that intends to investigate the acts of January 8 should be officially installed next Tuesday (23), according to statements by federal deputy Arthur Maia (União Brasil-BA). The parliamentarian says he was informed by the President of the Senate and Congress, Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG), of the decision.

“The CPMI of January 8 reached the necessary quorum to be installed. I spoke a little while ago with Senator Rodrigo Pacheco and I was informed that the installation of the collegiate will take place next Tuesday, 05/23”, he said in a post on twitter.

The expectation was that the CPMI would have been installed this Wednesday (17), but the parties did not conclude the appointment of parliamentarians for the vacancies available in the collegiate. Last week, the president of the Senate himself stated that he could grant a longer period to receive nominations from party leaders.
