Brasilia DF) – The Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPI) of Anti-Democratic Acts, of the Legislative Chamber of the Federal District (CLDF), will hold a secret session with Alan Diego dos Santos, convicted of attempted bombing in Brasília. In a hearing this Thursday morning (29), he admitted that he put the ‘artifact’ in the tank truck near Brasilia Airport, but claimed to have been threatened.

In a statement to the Civil Police of the DF, however, he did not mention these supposed threats, in addition to saying that Bolsonarist demonstrators believed that an explosion “it would attract Bolsonaro’s attention to invoke art. 142 and perform the intervention”.

In the same session that the deponent claimed to have suffered these threats from the right, deputies aligned with Bolsonarism that make up the CPI did not attend, as they had been doing in the last hearings. Thiago Manzoni (PL), Joaquim Roriz Neto (PL) and Paula Belmonte (Citizenship) did not participate to question Alan Diego dos Santos.

Paula attended the second deposition of the day, from George Washington, and said that she was at her youngest son’s graduation in the morning.

The two convicted of trying to blow up a tanker truck near Brasilia Airport, in a political attack against the result of the polls, are heard today. Alan Diego dos Santos and George Washington de Oliveira Sousa give testimony from 9:30 am.

They planned the explosion on Christmas Eve last year. The pump was attached to a tank truck and the only reason it was not triggered was due to a technical error.

In May, Alan was sentenced to 5 years and 4 months, in a closed initial regime. George will have to serve 9 years and 4 months in prison, also in a closed regime. Prisoners in the Papuda Penitentiary Complex, they were escorted to the Legislative Chamber this morning. The ears will be guaranteed the right to silence, according to a decision handed down by Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), on June 15.
