CPFL invested BRL 307 million in Rio Grande do Sul in the first year at the helm of CEEE-T

At the end of CPFL Transmissão’s first year as head of the area that was operated by CEEE-T, the company invested R$ 307 million in investments for the maintenance and expansion of the business in the State. The amount includes R$ 47 million that had been invested by the subsidiary Transmissora de Energia Sul Brasil (TESB), before the payment of CEEE-T shares, at the end of the year. From the beginning of the operation, CPFL announced an investment plan of R$ 2 billion between 2022 and 2026. .2 billion in investments over the next few years.
The main infrastructure project already being carried out by the company is the Cachoeirinha 3 substation, started in 2022 and due for delivery this year and start of operation in 2024, requiring investments of R$ 110 million. CPFL is also building the transmission line between the Osório-3 substation and Gravataí 3 substation, with a total investment of R$348 million. The 66.1 kilometer work received the installation license from Fepam in 2022.
By taking over the operations of CEEE-T, CPFL became responsible for 72 substations and 124 transmission lines in Rio Grande do Sul.
According to the report, the company closed 2022 with a net profit of BRL 906 million, almost 25 times higher than the BRL 37 million of the previous year.
