The average value of loans granted to newly created companies fell from R$22,000 in 2021 to R$12,000 last year, according to the survey that Boa Vista will release this week.
Monitoring also observed changes in the credit policy profile. According to the survey, in 2021 contracts had 24 installments on average – a level that dropped to 18 installments last year.
Still according to the Boa Vista survey, carried out in the first two months of this year, only 13% of newly created companies seek credit in the first six months of operation. Of these, only 6% get credit.
The low granting of credit is caused by the high default rate of new businesses, which is up to 85% higher than in companies with more than twelve months of operation.
