Manaus (AM) – More than 50 years after the announcement of the band’s end, The Beatles continue to be one of the best-known brands in the world of entertainment and Beatlemania still lives on. Old and new generations of fans, and those who just enjoy good music, will be able to enjoy the atmosphere of celebration for the 354 years of Manaus and have special moments, next Saturday (21), with a cover show by the boys from Liverpool, headlined by Black Mersey band.

“For us, this show represents a return to the stage. Due to the pandemic and other projects, we were a little distant, but we are resuming a dream”,

says the band’s creator, Rafael Marques.

Rafael says that the repertoire is being prepared with great care and affection.

“The Beatles have many hits, our biggest difficulty is excluding some songs. But, of course, we will have classics that still play all over the world today, such as Hey Jude, Let it be, Yesterday, Come together, I want to hold your hand, She loves you, among other hits”,

But if you think you’re just going to listen, it’s best to prepare yourself for the full experience. The members of the band Black Mersey don’t just play and sing the songs that made The Beatles one of the most important bands in the world. Each of them presents themselves as an original Beatle.

Rafael, for example, is a bassist and incorporates Paul McCartney. John Lennon will be represented by guitarist André Caminé, Ringo Starr by drummer Felipe Pereira and George Harrison by guitarist Elias Ferreira. They all also do the voices in the presentation.

With 15 years on the road, Black Mersey has already given many performances in Manaus, including one at Teatro Amazonas, “a dream come true”, according to Rafael. The band also toured the South and North regions with their cover show.

The show is part of the weekly musical program offered by Millennium Shopping, located on Avenida Djalma Batista, in the Chapada neighborhood, Central-South Zone of Manaus.

“Every weekend we offer these musical events to provide moments of relaxation and leisure for our customers and, thinking about the city’s anniversary, we are bringing, in addition to our regular cast, a special show that will certainly be a huge success”,

says Millennium Shopping Marketing Manager, Elizandra Xavier.

In addition to the special show on Saturday, Millennium Shopping will also have the traditional weekend program, with performances by the group Resenhando, Fred Mar and Isabel Barros, as well as Fátima Silva, with a very romantic repertoire with Maria Bethânia, Gal Costa , Alcione and lots of bolero.

• Friday: Resenhando Group (5:30 pm to 7:30 pm);
• Saturday: Fred Mar and Isabel Barros (12:30 pm to 2:30 pm);
• Show Cover The Beatles – Black Mersey band (from 7pm);
• Sunday: Fátima Silva (1pm to 3pm).
