Correios will invest in advertising again after five years. The state-owned company published this Tuesday (2) in the Official Gazette of the Union (DOU) a notice of bidding to hire four agencies. Advertising expenses will reach R$380 million in the first 12 months of the contract.
In 2021, Correios was included in the National Privatization Program by the Bolsonaro government. However, the company was removed from the list by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) in early April.
“Having the brand publicized in the media is essential for every company that competes in a competitive market, as is the case with Correios. We are resuming vital investments for the state-owned company and which had been cut by the previous government, which intended to privatize the company”, stated the president of Correios, Fabiano Silva dos Santos, in a statement.
Interested advertising agencies must submit proposals in a public session on March 8. Companies will need to deliver media plans, prove service capacity, a repertoire of ten advertising pieces broadcast and reports on solutions to communication problems.
