Coritiba loses to Cruzeiro and is eliminated from Copinha 2024

Coritiba lost 1-0 to Cruzeiro, on Friday night (19), at Arena Barueri, and was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior.
Even reinforced by defender Jean Pedroso and striker Kaio César, called up from the main team for the clash against Raposa, Coxa was not able to hold off the opponent from Minas Gerais.

Coritiba participated in the Copinha for the 34th time. The best campaign in history was in 2004, when they reached the semi-finals and ended up being defeated by Corinthians. In 2023, Coxa was eliminated in the third phase of the competition, by Novorizontino.
