Coritiba ends Brasileirão with the worst campaign in its history

The defeat to Corinthians, 2-0, on Wednesday night (6), at Couto Pereira, sealed the worst campaign in the history of the club. Coritiba in the Brasileirão dispute in the era of straight points.
Verdão ends its participation in the 2023 Brasileirão with just 30 points in 38 rounds. In 2020, Coxa had finished the dispute with 31 pointswhich was then the club’s worst campaign – seven wins, ten draws and 21 defeats, with a negative balance of 23 goals.

In the current season, Coritiba won eight times, drew six times and lost 24 games, with a negative goal balance of 25 goals.
Before 2020, when it fell into 19th position, the club’s worst campaign in terms of points it had been in 2017, in the previous relegation, with 43 points. At the time, Coxa ended up finishing 17th only in the last and fateful round against Chapecoense, away from home.
Coritiba also has its worst campaign as home team
The stumble against Corinthians also left another negative mark for Coritiba. Coxa closed the 2023 Brasileirão with the worst home campaign in history. There were only 16 points added – four wins, four draws and 11 defeats.

In 2020, when the fans at Couto Pereira were most disappointed, the team was also second to bottom as home team, finishing with 18 points (four wins, six draws and nine defeats).
