The Government of Amapá will present to more than 190 countries, during the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 28) which begins this Thursday, the 30th, the bioeconomic potential of the state, with a focus on sustainable use initiatives of natural wealth and its fundamental role in the global environmental scenario.
In a year marked by high temperatures in different parts of the world, the conference will address each country’s actions to preserve the environment and combat greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Other topics, such as food security and the preservation of ecosystems, are also part of the discussions.
In this scenario, the Government of Amapá will show how the Amazonian state is becoming a reference in the manufacture of bioeconomic products. Existing programs, such as the Amapá Seal, certify the origin of goods produced and sold in the state. The project adds value to genuinely Amapá products, taking the state’s name to the national and international market.
“The manufacturing of these products is done in a conscious and sustainable way, generating positive impacts on our economy. More than 900 products are recognized by the Amapá Seal and are being sold on the market. This brand symbolizes our state, which represents the most preserved forest area in the country. It is the main front for presenting Amapá products to Brazil and the world”highlights the director-president of the Amapá Economic Development Agency, Jurandil Juarez.
