Manaus (AM) – The Amazonas Military Fire Brigade (CBMAM) will promote, next Saturday (12), from 7:30 am to 11 am, the 1st edition of the Firefighters in Action Challenge, a technical-professional competition among the operational military of the corporation.
The event will be open to the public and will have programming geared towards the population with zip lines, abseiling, a stand with an exhibition of equipment, a car ride for children, all of which are free of charge. The activities will be carried out at the General Command of the Fire Department, on Avenida Codajás, in the Petrópolis neighborhood, in the south zone of the capital.
According to the general commander of CBMAM, Colonel Orleilso Ximenes Muniz, the event will open the doors of the corporation so that the population can learn about the structure and history of the Amazonas Fire Department.
“For the first time, we will be opening the doors of our barracks to receive the population that is interested in knowing the structure of CBMAM, visiting our firefighting vehicles. We prepared everything to promote this immersion to the external public. In addition, we will also show our operational strength with the competition modalities”,
highlighted Colonel Muniz.

The winners of each category of the competition will receive the prize at the end of the morning. Among the modalities are rescue at height and water, fire fighting and pre-hospital care, in addition to the traditional Steel Firefighter competition.
