The Urban Development Committee of the Chamber of Deputies approved a project that allows the Minha Casa, Minha Vida Program to exclude aid for temporary disability, retirement for permanent disability and the Continuous Payment Benefit (BPC) from the calculation of family income.
The rapporteur, deputy Acácio Favacho (MDB-AP), recommended the approval of the substitute for the Social Security and Family Commission for Bill 1631/21, by former deputy Tia Eron (BA). “Many families spend too much on healthcare, and their income is compromised”, assessed the rapporteur.
The substitute inserts provisions into the Minha Casa, Minha Vida Program Law. Currently, according to the standard, beneficiaries of the housing program in urban areas need to prove a monthly family income of, at most, R$6,500. The project is being processed conclusively and will still be analyzed by the Constitution, Justice and Citizenship Commission.
