The presidents of the two representative bodies of consumer law in Manaus, closed a partnership for the next inspection actions in favor of the population
The president-director of the Consumer Protection Institute of Amazonas (Procon/AM), Jalil Fraxe, received this Monday (27), the visit of the president of the Consumer Protection Commission of the Manaus City Council (CMM), Eduardo Assisi (Avante). The purpose of the meeting between the president of COMDEC and Procon Amazonas was to align and design new actions that will supervise companies, guaranteeing the rights of consumers in the capital of Amazonas.
According to the councilor, the initiative will not only bring benefits to the people of Manaus. “We have the idea of strengthening a task force among all inspection control bodies through blitz, facilitating consumer access to complaint channels, guidelines and being closely present to ensure that the Law prevails, being respected”, affirm.
For Jalil, having this meeting with the purpose of adding to the fight against so many legalities, which has been harming the consumer, is welcome. “The new management of CMM’s COMDEC, which is in the person of fellow lawyer, Eduardo Assis, is extremely important for our work to flow in the same idea and focus. A joint and active work brings return and quality in the actions, articulations that will improve the life of the population”, he explains.
The municipal parliamentarian, says that during the meeting between the supervisory bodies, the possibility of installing a system of the State Institute itself was discussed, which will be called ‘Legislative PROCON’. “That way we will be able to measure statistical data, in addition to identifying the main problem bottlenecks that the population has taken to inspection and control bodies”, he emphasizes.
COMDEC will participate in all blitzes carried out by the supervisory body and, on March 23, the commission will officially be installed in the Manaus Chamber, in the presence of all bodies linked to consumer rights.
