The governor of Amapá, Clecio Luis, along with the other heads of state executives in the country, meets with the president Lula this Friday, the 27th, in Brasília, to present a national agenda, projects that promote the integration of the state to the Amazon region and development projects in Amapá.
At the invitation of the president, the heads of states will point out initiatives with regional and local impact that may receive financial support from the federal government to be carried out.
It is the second time that the governor of Amapá meets with Squid. The first appointment was on January 9, the day after the invasions and attacks on the buildings of the three powers of the Republic.
“The first meeting opened the doors of the states with the federal government for us to renegotiate Brazil federatively. In this second meeting, we presented agendas of regional and local interests. We will prepare the projects and, by presenting them, fight for them to be financed by the federal government and that we can carry them out in Amapá”highlighted.
The governor clecio must present an agenda with three structural projects of the state and three proposals for public works of regional integration that benefit Amapá.
Governors Forum
In the preparations for the meeting with the president, state managers met on Thursday, 26, in Brasília, in the first face-to-face meeting of 2023 of the National Forum of Governors.
The need for the federal government to format legislation adopted in 2022 and make fiscal adjustments to remedy losses in state collections was highlighted.
Last year, former president Jair Bolsonaro sanctioned Complementary Law 194, which limited the collection of Tax on Circulation of Goods and Services (ICMS) of fuel, electricity, communications and public transport. There was, however, a veto of devices that provided financial compensation for the states, which failed to collect a portion of taxes.
